Measurement solutions for optical systems in defense & security
Experience the difference in crucial missions
A picture says more than 1000 words
Various imaging systems are used for classic monitoring: from visual monitoring cameras to thermal imaging cameras based on infrared lens systems and LiDAR. We have compiled further information on the applications as well as the testing and alignment procedures on the following pages
More safety through foresight
Afocal optical systems, such as telescopes, scopes and binoculars, are the classic aids to observation. They magnify distant objects. To do this, their functionality and imaging quality must be tested using a variety of specific optical parameters. The wide range of measurement parameters for afocal optical systems includes image quality and magnification.
Caution, hot!
Security systems are often used outdoors. Here they are exposed to fluctuating and sometimes extreme temperature conditions, which can affect the optical components and the frame materials and thus impair important optical parameters such as effective focal length and back focus. Athermal optical designs, which deliver good imaging quality under all temperature conditions, can help here. These lens systems and camera modules can already be tested during the development phase with TRIOPTICS product solutions in a temperature range from -40 °C to +120 °C.
