With offices in both Southern California and in upstate New York, our team provides the experience, knowledge and insight to help our customers in North America succeed.
Erik Stover
President and CEO
Erik joined TRIOPTICS USA in April of 2019 as President and CEO, where his technical knowledge and business development experience bring foresight and insight to the team. His experience in the optics industry is all-encompassing and include time as a test engineer at Ball Aerospace, a project engineer at LightWorks Optics (now II-VI), as R&D Manager at Janos Technology and as Global Business Development Manager at Taylor-Hobson. In 2004, he was appointed CEO at M3 Measurement solutions prior to joining TRIOPTICS USA. He is a US Navy Veteran and lives in Southern California with his wife and children.
Joel Murphy
Sales Director
Joel Murphy is the Sales Director for TRIOPTICS USA joining the company in 2019. Joel has over 20 years’ experience in optics manufacturing and photonics-based technologies. Drawing on a diverse background including operations management, program management, business development and sales he takes a well-rounded approach to his role. Based in Jupiter, his free time is filled with family, swimming, home improvement projects and playing guitar by the fire pit. Joel holds a BS in Business Management from Franklin Pierce University, graduating Valedictorian CGPS, Summa Cum Laude.
Bill Perkins
Director of Engineering
Bill is an accomplished optics engineer, starting at Bausch & Lomb and then Sola Optical. At Bushnell Eyewear, he was Engineering Manager, overseeing a global team creating optical systems, mechanical assemblies and components. He joined Raytheon Space and Airborne Systems division as a Principle Physics Engineer and later became Section Manager of the Telescope and Sensor Mechanical Design team. From there he moved to AT&T as a Senior Manager of Technical Process and Quality, focusing on satellite and broadband technical performance. Bill joined TRIOPTICS USA in 2020 as Engineering Manager and was appointed Director of Engineering in 2021. Bill spends his free time participating in endurance sports activities and has completed multiple IRONMAN® full and half-distance triathlons.
Tara Eby
Sales Manager
Tara brings over nine years of experience as a Project Manager and Sales Professional in Optics. Her knowledge with AS9100D protocols, ITAR and QA offers her a unique ability to serve the Aerospace & Defense industry along with their specific requirements. Providing outstanding customer support, solutions and attention to detail is her specialty.
Tom Michailidis
Sales Manager
Tom Michailidis has been immersed in the optics industry for over 30 years, mostly in a technical sales role. He joined the TRIOPTICS USA team in 2022. Tom got his start in the Optics Apprenticeship program at Eastman Kodak while simultaneously attending Monroe Community College studying optical engineering. His hands on experience with the fabrication and testing of optical components and assemblies enables him to quickly find practical solutions for customers with challenging testing requirements. In his free time, he likes spending time with his two daughters, playing soccer, doing home renovation projects and hiking.
German Guerrero
Sales Manager
German Guerrero is the Automotive Sales Manager for TRIOPTICS USA joining the team in 2022 after working with TRIOPTICS USA parent company, Jenoptik. Since starting his sales career in high precision metrology equipment over nine years ago, German has supervised several sales teams and managed a variety of distribution channels across North America. His expertise in numerous facets of the manufacturing world ranges from sensors and machine vision to robotics and full turn key custom automation solutions. German’s technical background in metrology and the automotive sector helps him provide expert solutions to customers in a variety of fields. Based in Detroit, MI, German spends his free time enjoying the outdoors with his family and cheering on his child’s school Robotics team.
Stuart Frazier
Sales Manager
In 2023, Stuart joined TRIOPTICS USA as the AR/VR Sales Manager. He brings a strong technical background to the role, with a MS in Material Science & Engineering from the University of Washington. Recent experience includes customer-centric roles that involved the managing of global manufacturing projects and programs with a focus on the display metrology industry. His expertise covers in-depth knowledge of metrology cameras, mass production environments, device testing requirements, and how they are synchronized to produce high quality technical products. Located in Seattle, WA, Stuart enjoys his free time by traveling, golfing, attending sporting events, and spending time with friends and family.
